Overview:
The Development Database Coordinator provides professional and technical support to the Office of Stewardship & Development, with primary responsibility for managing and maintaining the central donor database (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT), supporting gift processing and acknowledgments, and enhancing donor relations and engagement efforts. This position plays a key role in donor research, data reporting, workflow automation, and supporting development initiatives across the Diocese of Tyler and its affiliated ministries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead administrator of Raiser’s Edge NXT, ensuring data integrity, security, and usability.
- Train and support diocesan and parish staff on the effective use of Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Create and run complex queries, reports, dashboards, and data exports to support development and stewardship efforts.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including Address Finder, Email Finder, Phone Finder, and Deceased Constituent Finder updates.
- Coordinate the setup of appeal and package codes to enable accurate gift tracking and reporting.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for database entry and maintenance.
- Generate pledge audit reports and year-end consolidated receipts for recurring donors.
- Ensure the accuracy of data related to donations, donor recognition, and event participation.
- In consultation with the gift processing team, plan, manage, and implement gift receipting and acknowledgment processes for all diocesan entities, including parishes, schools, and the Tyler Catholic School Foundation.
- Process online donations through Raiser’s Edge NXT’s Online Express and GiveCentral.
- Record and reconcile donations, transfers, and deposits to/from diocesan and foundation funds.
- Coordinate donor recognition programs and ensure timely and appropriate stewardship of benefactors.
- Conduct research on current and prospective donors to support cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Identify opportunities to align donor interests with ministry priorities across the Diocese of Tyler.
- Notify development leadership of key donor milestones (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries, and achievements) to support personalized engagement.
- Coordinate the assignment of prospective donors to clergy, staff, and volunteers for follow-up and engagement.
- Design and implement automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate and Office 365 to streamline development operations.
- Assist with the integration of Raiser’s Edge NXT and QuickBooks with third-party tools, including Omatic and grant management systems.
- Collaborate with Blackbaud environment administrators to manage user access and permissions.
- Support special events, appeals, campaigns, and reports by preparing data and materials as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, parishes, vendors, and external partners to ensure effective communication and consistency in stewardship practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
