The Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Scranton is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled educational leader to serve as Principal of Holy Family Academy, a Pre-K through 8th grade institution located in Hazleton. This position will begin on July 1, 2026.
The Principal is responsible for fostering a school environment rooted in Catholic values while promoting academic excellence and ensuring the long-term vitality of the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership that supports academic achievement and continuous school improvement
- Promote and nurture Catholic identity, faith formation, and spiritual development
- Oversee daily school operations, including faculty supervision and student discipline
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, parish, and the broader community
- Ensure the school’s sustainability through strategic planning, enrollment growth, and resource management
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field
- Valid state certification as a school principal
- All required clearances
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written)
