Key Responsibilities
Operations & Warehouse Management
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of food inventory
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage warehouse organization, inventory systems, and supply ordering
- Ensure facility, vehicles, generators, and equipment are clean, safe, and operational
- Recommend improvements to processes for greater efficiency
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
- Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage
- Promote a welcoming, collaborative, and spiritually supportive culture
- Ensure compliance with diocesan Safe Environment policies
- Oversee client registration and verification processes
- Utilize Neighbor Intake, Charity Tracker, and Microsoft Office systems
- Track volunteer hours, food poundage, donations, invoices, and reports
- Maintain budget oversight, petty cash, and financial records
- Build positive relationships with the community and business partners
- Lead food bank operations during disaster response efforts, such as hurricanes or emergencies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to complete Diocese Safe Environment requirements
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn specialized service software systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Ability to drive a cargo van and operate a forklift preferred
