Location: Gaylord, MI
St. Mary Cathedral School is seeking a full-time, or part-time, Custodian to help clean the school and maintain the grounds. Hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm during the school year and full-time hours during the day through the summer months.
Job Summary:
When school is in session
- Daily vacuuming of every classroom.
- Daily vacuuming of Media Center, principal offices, staff rooms, and computer labs.
- Daily vacuuming of hallways.
- Daily emptying of wastebaskets throughout the school and deposit trash in dumpster.
- Daily cleaning of sinks and toilets in assigned restrooms.
- Daily washing of restroom floors.
- Weekly cleaning of glass on hallway and classroom doors.
- Responsible for see that the gym doors are locked after end of practices and games.
- Responsible for seeing that lights are turned off in classrooms and restrooms before leaving the building.
- Responsible for seeing that the building is locked and secure before leaving work.
Qualifications:
- Has the ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
- Has the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Has the ability to follow instructions and maintains a hospitable and favorable relationship with people.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Cleaning experience preferred.
Accountability:
- Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Is accountable to the School Principal for job performance.
