Diocesan is seeking a Church Software Support Specialist to join our Digital Products Team. This role provides front-line technical and database support to Catholic parishes and diocesan offices using church management software for membership records, sacramental data, contributions, and reporting.
This is a full-time, primarily in-office position based in our Byron Center, Michigan office. After completing an initial training period, the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with remote work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary support contact for churches using database management software
- Respond to customer support requests via phone and email in a professional, customer-first manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
- Parishioner and family records
- Sacramental data (baptisms, marriages, confirmations, etc.)
- Contributions, pledges, and reports
- User permissions and data accuracy
- Create, document, and manage support cases in our CRM/ticketing system
- Provide clear, timely updates to clients on open issues and resolutions
- Lead client onboarding sessions and conduct software training for parish staff
- Participate in weekly team support meetings and collaborate with internal teams
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Experience & Technical Skills

- Familiarity with parish operations, Catholic terminology, or diocesan workflows (preferred, not required)
- Church bookkeeping or contribution management experience is a plus
- Experience using CRM or ticketing systems
- SQL and/or Microsoft Access experience strongly desired
- General understanding of relational databases and data management concepts
