Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service

Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of daily school breakfasts and/or lunches in accordance with health, safety, and nutritional guidelines.

Help prep food items (e.g., washing, slicing, portioning) and stock serving lines efficiently.

Serve meals to students and staff with a polite, patient, and positive demeanor.
Sanitation & Safety

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen, serving area, and dining room.

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cafeteria trays using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual washing procedures.

Clean and sanitize tables, counters, serving lines, and kitchen equipment after meal service.

Adhere strictly to all state, local, and diocesan health and safety regulations.
School Community Support

Support positive student behavior in the cafeteria/lunchroom to ensure a safe, orderly, and pleasant dining environment.

Collaborate cooperatively and respectfully with cafeteria staff, school administration, teachers, and students.

Perform other related kitchen and cafeteria duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Previous food service, kitchen, or school cafeteria experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lifting.

Schedule & Compensation
