Elementary School – After School Care Monitor
Most Precious Blood Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time After School Care Monitor to join our school community. This individual will help provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for students in our after-school care program while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise students in Preschool through Grade 8 during the after-school program.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Assist students with homework as needed.
- Plan and supervise age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities.
- Prepare and serve simple snacks according to school guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Communicate respectfully with parents during student pick-up.
- Follow all school policies, emergency procedures, and Safe Environment requirements.
- Model Christian values and positive behavior for students.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Must enjoy working with school-aged children in a positive and nurturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to supervise children in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Must successfully complete all required Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend background checks and Safe Environment training prior to employment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively supervise children for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Approximately 2:50 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on school days (actual hours may vary based on program needs and student attendance).
