Dinsmore is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal at our Cincinnati, OH location to support multiple attorneys in employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with litigation, compliance, administrative filings, and legal research related to labor laws, workplace policies, employee relations, and collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities
Dinsmore is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal at our Cincinnati, OH location to support multiple attorneys in employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with litigation, compliance, administrative filings, and legal research related to labor laws, workplace policies, employee relations, and collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of labor and employment litigation, including discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research on employment laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Draft and revise legal documents such as employment agreements, policies, position statements, and correspondence
- Manage case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and agency requirements
- Assist with administrative filings before the EEOC, NLRB, DOL, and other regulatory bodies
- Review and organize employee records, contracts, and internal investigations.
- Support attorneys in responding to subpoenas, document requests, and wage/hour disputes
- Coordinate witness interviews and deposition preparations
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with attorney-client privilege
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certification (ABA-approved program preferred) or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a labor and employment paralegal
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, NLRA)
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience in handling discovery and electronic filing procedures
