Dinsmore is seeking a Cash Receipts Representative at our Cincinnati, OH location who will be responsible for the allocation of the firm’s daily cash receipts.

Dinsmore is seeking a Cash Receipts Representative at our Cincinnati, OH location who will be responsible for the allocation of the firm’s daily cash receipts.
Responsibilities
- Enter the daily cash receipts received by live check, lockbox, wire, ACH or credit card
- Follow payment allocation instructions provided
- Research payment allocation if no instructions are given by communication with internal and/or external personnel
- Track unidentifiable payments, short pays, double payments and refunds in spreadsheet
- Administer payment reversals and reapplications
- Process refund checks and letters
- Manage medium to high volume of calls and emails pertaining to cash receipts
- Send daily notification email to attorneys regarding money placed in credit
- Work closely with the firm's other Accounting departments regarding various accounting issues and inquires
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance
- Six months related work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skill
- Analytical Skills - ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident making critical decisions while following company procedures
- Attentive to the minute details of a project or task
- Enthusiastically build effective relationships with coworkers
- Comfortable backing up other team members as needed
- Ability to work successfully with a variety of people without making judgments
