Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Masonry Foreman to lead and oversee masonry construction projects on-site. This dynamic role involves managing teams, ensuring safety standards, and delivering high-quality masonry work across various projects including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. As a Masonry Foreman, you will be instrumental in coordinating daily operations, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and maintaining efficient workflows to meet project deadlines. Your expertise in concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco, tile laying, and other masonry techniques will drive the success of our construction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise masonry crews to execute concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco application, tile laying, and other masonry tasks with precision and quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other trades to schedule work phases and ensure seamless project progression.
- Oversee the proper use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and scaffolding to maintain safety and efficiency on-site.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards while fostering a safe work environment.
- Assist in construction estimating by providing accurate material take-offs and labor requirements for masonry components.
- Manage daily site activities including material ordering, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work such as concrete finishing, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing prep, restoration efforts, metal stud framing, welding tasks, and tile installation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in masonry work including concrete forming, stucco application, tile laying, and restoration projects.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex masonry layouts.
- Proficient with hand tools such as trowels, hammers; power tools including saws and drills; heavy equipment operation like forklifts or cranes is a plus.
- Knowledgeable about construction estimating processes related to masonry materials and labor costs.
- Familiar with safety protocols specific to construction sites involving scaffolding, heavy machinery, welding equipment, and working at heights.
- Ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety compliance.
