What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist Technician Lady Lake position at Dinesh Khanna MD LLC ES?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Venipuncture collections
- Conducts specimen collection, sometimes directly observed.
- Gathers, verifies and enters patient data.
- Ships specimens to the laboratory on a timely basis.
- Orders and maintains supplies.
- Maintains cleanliness of the collection area.
- Assists the client services team in correcting discrepancies.
- Follows company policies, guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Meets continuous process improvement and/or standardization initiatives.
Education, Experience and Training
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Phlebotomy Certification/ Diploma required.
- Must have 1 year of experience with blood drawing and have patience with geriatric residents
- Minimum one year experience working in a healthcare practice setting, preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of related organizational policies to administer patient care.
- Working knowledge of computers, especially word, excel and medical software.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and Office of Inspector General check.
