Our client in the Food and Beverage industry is hiring a Performance Creative Strategist!
Position Overview
This role is responsible for developing creative concepts that scale profitably across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels. You’ll turn competitive intelligence, customer insights and white-space novel concept ideation into creative that converts. Your role involves a dynamic mix of analyzing advertising data, collaborating closely with production teams to create impactful video and static ads, and writing persuasive scripts, all under the mentorship and direction of the VP of Growth. Ideal candidates have at least three years of hands-on experience building and scaling paid social creative for DTC brands, either at an agency or within-brand at a high-growth CPG startup.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the creative testing roadmap: Generate platform-native concepts, angles, and hooks based on customer insights, reviews, competitive intelligence, and channel performance data.
- Write high-quality creative briefs: Partner with other agencies, our internal creative team, and external content partners (influencers/ UGC creators) to translate winning ad concepts into clear, structured briefs that yield conversion-focused assets.
- Analyze creative performance: Evaluate CTR, CVR, CPC, thumb-stop rate, hook rate, hold rate, and CAC to determine winners, identify fatigue, and develop iterative testing plans.
- Own the ad creative library: Document learnings, map winning patterns, and build a centralized system of insights to guide future creative development.
- Conduct competitive and trend research: Regularly perform tear-downs, identify emerging formats, and pinpoint whitespace opportunities across Meta and TikTok.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Growth, Product Marketing, and Brand teams to ensure creative direction aligns with broader messaging while remaining conversion-first.
- Elevate UGC and influencer output: Provide strategic direction, scripts, and talking points to external creators to ensure deliverables match the testing agenda and platform best practices.
- Drive rapid iteration: Propose new tests weekly, refine messaging based on data, and work with editors to deliver multiple variations of concepts for accelerated learning.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5 years of experience leading creative strategy for performance marketing campaigns.
- Proven track record of exceeding performance benchmarks through creative innovation.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful paid social media campaigns.
- Advanced understanding of performance metrics, analytics and project management tools (Meta Ads, Motion, Asana, Notion, Shopify, North Beam, Triple Whale).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Proficient in video editing.
- Proficient in shooting video with both iPhone/DSLR.
