Job Summary: A Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the claims process for our insureds. They open claims with the carrier and review the progress of the claim with the adjustor on a regular basis until it is closed. This includes ensuring accurate and timely adjudication of claims, ensuring proper record-keeping, and providing customer service throughout the claims process. A Claims Coordinator is a liaison between client and carrier.
Pay Range: $18-$25 / hour

Pay Range: $18-$25 / hour
Duties/Responsibilities
- Submit claims to carrier accurately and promptly
- Monitor email inbox for claim correspondence
- Gather claim information in order to submit claim or assist adjuster
- Follow-up with insured with claim information, next steps, and updates
- Assist with claims inquiries, providing prompt and accurate responses
- Maintaining accurate claim files and documenting conversations with clients and insurers
- Moving high priority or large claims to Senior Claim Advocate
- Assist in requesting and maintaining loss runs on file
Position Requirements

- Proven knowledge of Commercial Insurance policies and coverage

- Ability to maintain interaction with clients, quickly with empathy and professionalism
- Working knowledge of entire claim process
- Ability to function within and support a collaborative Team environment.
- Ability to thrive in a high-paced, and at times, stressful environment
- Ability to maintain high level of multi-tasking
- 1 – 3 Years proven Commercial Insurance Experience and/or Commercial Claim Experience, either company or agency level
- 1-3 Years proven customer service interaction, problem solving
- P&C Insurance License
- Commitment to Claim designation preferred
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Outlook, Power Point, and Excel
- Knowledge of insurance products, coverage, laws, and best practices
