Job Description
The Body Shop Painter performs high-quality automotive refinishing and repainting on assigned vehicles while ensuring all work meets company standards for safety, efficiency, and finish quality. The role is also responsible for proper care of tools, materials, and work area cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Performs work as assigned with efficiency, accuracy, and high quality following dealership, insurance company, and enterprise standards
- Repaint cars or damaged areas on vehicles assigned to them
- Prepares, mixes, and applies paint to ensure accurate color matching and a high-quality finish
- Use care in the use of materials such as cleaning fluids, thinners, paint, sandpaper, and tape
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- One year of relevant experience required
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly professional and dependable
- Quality conscious and detail-oriented
