Job Description
The Lot Porter / Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the safe delivery of customer vehicles to the appropriate destination following Company guidelines and procedures, and maintaining inventory reports for new and used vehicles. The ideal candidate has at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, an unrestricted driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Picks up and delivers customers to/from desired locations
- Picks up and delivers vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed
- Moves vehicles from intake area to storage area
- Saves and tags all warranty parts for storage
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Coordinates, updates and maintains inventory reports for new and used vehicles.
- Merchandising and assisting with display on showroom floor and sales lot.
- Prepares vehicles for sale, to include service, detail and buyers guide.
- Assist sales and service department associates, as needed.
- Takes digital photos and videos for online marketing and display of inventory.
- Generate and process all repair orders for Internal Detail and Pre-Delivery Inspection.
- Liaison for dealership to receive all inbound new car inventory.
- Inspection of all inbound new car inventory.
- Input all inbound inventory into CDK.
- Maintain proper individual vehicle inventory and accountability such as keys, books, mats, remotes navigation discs etc.
- Transport and park vehicles in a skillful orderly manner both inside the showroom and out in the parking area.
- Report all lot damage immediately to the manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Computer Literate / Tech Savvy, Photography/Videography proficient
- Highly professional and dependable
- Experience providing quality customer service
- Prior Dealership experience a plus
