Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Inventory Coordinator assists in coordinating new and used inventory, upon delivery.
- Maintain inventory accuracy: Track incoming and outgoing powersports inventory, perform inventory cycle checks and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate records.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of powersports and verify received shipments against BOL.
- Warehouse organization: Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of powersports inventory within the warehouse.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory performance, stock levels, and other key metrics to inform management decisions.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as sales, service, and purchasing, to ensure alignment of inventory needs with business requirements.
- Implement inventory control procedures: Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
- Customer service: Provide support to customers regarding inventory availability, order status, and other related inquiries.
Provide superior quality service to internal and external customers.
Be an effective team member who is innovative, proactive and focused on quality improvements.
Work effectively with staff, applicants and all levels of management.
Present a positive and professional image to applicants, staff and vendors.
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide strong organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Apply strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Carry out a meticulous approach to accuracy in data entry, record-keeping, and inventory reconciliation.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Previous working knowledge of Lightspeed preferred
Excellent work history in similar role
Previous powersports dealership experience in a similar role highly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid Florida driver license and clean driving record REQUIRED
