Position Title: Operations Manager, Air and Ocean Freight
Location: Rosedale, NY
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 year of Global Forwarding experience
- Minimum of 3 years managerial skills
- Minimum requirement High School diploma or GED.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Being able to work independently and part of a team
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must have great organizational skills
- Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage air freight and ocean freight operations for both Export and Import.
- Supervise overall operational quality and streamline working process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- To assist sales development and provide in-house support
- Communicate and coordinate with overseas and agent partners on R/Os together with Supervisor.
- Negotiate with carriers, vendors, and utilize alternatives to improve overall consolidation costs to maximize profitability, as well as maintaining service efficiency
- At the same time, work closely with Customer Service management to establish and implement SOP for all key and MNC accounts to meet expectation
- Adhere to compliance of all transportation and security regulations.
- Responsible for completion of air export/ air import month end closing
- Continue to be part of our IT local seed member
- Coordinate with the management to execute annual business plan and operating budget.
