Company & Position Overview
Dimensional Concepts, Inc. (DCI) is a growing general contractor and construction management firm specializing in healthcare, dental, and commercial construction throughout the New York metropolitan area. We seek a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support project execution from startup through closeout, working directly with our Senior Project Manager and field Superintendents. The role combines office-based coordination with regular jobsite visits.
Core Responsibilities
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bulletins; flag discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and current construction document distribution through Procore.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and Superintendents to resolve open items.
• Monitor procurement, long-lead materials, schedules, milestones, and outstanding action items.
• Identify potential changes; obtain subcontractor scope and pricing and support project cost tracking in Procore and Knowify.
• Determine, schedule, and coordinate inspections; obtain reports and required sign-offs.
• Visit project sites to review field conditions, progress, and information needed by field teams.
• Assist with project meetings, punch lists, technical closeout reviews, and final turnover.
Qualifications
• 2–5 years of commercial construction or project coordination experience preferred; general contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and understand RFIs, submittals, procurement, and change orders.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; Procore and Bluebeam preferred; Knowify experience a plus.
• Strong communication, accountability, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regional jobsite visits.
