The Event Security Officer for Diligence Security Group executes all tasks related to maintaining standards in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures by performing the following duties:
Position Duties:
Greet guests with a friendly, genuine demeanor.
Manage entry protocol which may include, scanning tickets, verifying wrist bands/ badges/ identification, bag searching, and metal detector screening.
Maintain order among large groups by redirecting foot traffic and providing guidance to guests.
Deescalate and suppress disturbances in a timely manner and with a calm demeanor.
Report all suspicious activity to supervisors and fellow guards.
Monitor and patrol entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles, security cameras, and parking.
Warn violators of rule and safety infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and escort persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
Other duties may be assigned.

Skills & Competencies:
Valid State Security Guard Card License
High school diploma or higher in any discipline
Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification, preferred
Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience, a plus
Passion for providing top level security service
Strong ability to effectively de-escalate situations
Effective oral and written communication skills
Fluent in English (written and verbal). Additional languages a plus.
Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
Well-groomed and sharply dressed in uniform.
Active listening skills

Physical Demands:
Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Ability to move for prolonged periods to inspect site area(s).

Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
Ability to safely operate machinery, such as motor vehicles, heavy equipment, or other types of vehicles.
Must be able to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions: low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments, enclosed spaces, etc.
