Compensation: This is a rewarding role with the ability to make over six figures. Year one OTE ranges from $52,000-$78,000. Most counselors make $100,000 after their first year. Other benefits include health, dental, 401k, and generous PTO packages.

Role Description: This full-time, on-site Family Service Counselor - Sales role is based in Rockville, MD. The counselor engages with families to explain available cemetery options and guide them through pre-need and at-need arrangements with empathy and professionalism. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, generating leads, following up with prospective clients, and presenting service and product offerings. The role involves maintaining accurate records, working closely with funeral home and cemetery staff to coordinate services, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The counselor is expected to meet sales goals, participate in community outreach, and deliver a respectful, service-oriented experience to every family.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide compassionate support and guidance in Family Services within funeral homes and cemetery environments.
• Experience with Lead Generation, including prospecting, follow-up, and relationship building to achieve sales targets.
• Strong Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex options clearly and maintain professional, empathetic interactions.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a service-oriented role, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or related fields.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and resilience when working with families during sensitive and emotional situations.
• Ability to work on-site, including evenings or weekends as needed to serve families.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and CRM tools, and capability to maintain detailed, accurate documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant professional certifications are beneficial.
