Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) to join a leading teaching hospital in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This 13-week assignment offers competitive pay, guaranteed 48-hour workweeks, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech Expanse.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN License (required at the time of application).
- Minimum 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Willingness to float to all Med Surg units.
- Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly preferred.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this travel assignment.
Schedule & Assignment Details
- 13-week travel contract
- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- No on-call requirements
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
