Weekend Requirement: 4 weekends per 4 weeks
Holiday Requirement: As per facility needs
Pay Rate
- $52 – $60/hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract in an acute care hospital setting in Cumming, GA. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including ICU, neurological, orthopedic, and general medical cases. You will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients based on physician orders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Work with patients across various units including ICU, neuro/stroke, ortho, and med-surg
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and daily living skills
- Document patient progress using Cerner (OneChart) EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on therapy plans and recovery goals
Requirements
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent OT experience (REQUIRED)
- Active Georgia OT License (REQUIRED)
- BLS Certification (AHA REQUIRED)
- Acute care experience preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills
