Job Title: DGSun Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL (preferred) — Remote considered, Florida-based profiles preferred
Employment Type: W2 / C2C
Required:
- 10 years of recent development experience specifically with the Basis International languages Progression/5 (BBx, Pro/5) and Business Basic for Java (BBj).
- Recent: actively developing in these technologies, and has been for 10 years.
- Development experience: approximately 80% of time spent actively adding new features and capabilities, as opposed to break-fix or minor enhancements from production support issues.
- Current usage of BBj supports integrations rather than graphical user interfaces.
- Experience with integrations in and out of a Pro/5 system (e.g., HTTP, XML, RPC).
- Demonstrated experience learning a custom code base they did not develop.
- Experience developing against specifications authored by others, working within a formal SDLC environment.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL queries to assist with troubleshooting.
Preferred / Plus:
- Experience in the hospitality or vacation ownership industry.
- Development experience with both Progression/5 and BBj enabling system-to-system integrations.
- Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
Optional:
- Experience with other Business Basic variants such as Thoroughbred BASIC, ProvideX (now PxPlus), or MAI OpenBasic.
- Experience using external logging platforms for troubleshooting — Splunk, Dynatrace.
