Job Overview

Facility is seeking an experienced Accountant IV to join its Finance/Accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting internal and external audit processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure accuracy of financial records and transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform account analysis and variance analysis
• Support monthly close processes and financial reporting
• Coordinate and respond to internal and external audit requests
• Ensure integrity of accounting data within hospital financial systems
• Utilize advanced Excel functions for reporting and analysis
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• (Associate degree with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience may be considered)
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or advanced degree
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
