Role Description
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Business Development Director with strong knowledge of the IT Asset Recycling industry to drive new partnerships, grow sales, and expand our buyback network. The ideal candidate is a motivated, relationship-driven professional who understands data center hardware lifecycles, channel relationships, and the value of refurbished and new equipment.
Duties
• Lead business development team, setting clear performance goals and fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and collaboration.
• Identify and close new business opportunities in IT asset recycling services
• Develop and maintain relationships with Data Centers, VARs, MSPs, OEM partners, and enterprise clients
• Build and grow buyback / decommission pipelines with enterprise and cloud customers
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure pricing, inventory, and logistics align with client needs
• Stay informed about market trends in AI infrastructure, refurbished IT, and sustainability programs
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies proactively and maintain a competitive edge.
• Represent Mitra at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Qualifications
• 10 years of business development or sales experience in IT asset recycling, VAR channel sales
• Strong network within Data Center, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure markets
• Knowledge of IT hardware (servers, networking, Data Center) and IT asset recycling value streams
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., R2v3, e-Stewards)
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong channel and partner relationship management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field preferred
Salary $150,000 - $500,000 a year Bonus
