Trainee - HP Operator Trainee

We are actively hiring for the position of HP Operator Trainee for our plant in Van Nuys, CA.

Shift: 1 st Shift

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.
  
  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
• Get the printed rolls from table to mount it on the roller that will feed it through the machine.
• Set up correct rolling die to cut the shape on the job passing through and ensure cutters are at the correct length to cut the job.
• Observe the HP indigo digital press while running to make any adjustments and ensure a smooth and accurate flow.
• Record production and operational data using IMS system, such as entering completed jobs.
• Report all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs. Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
  
  

Experience Required

• 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse /manufacturing environment
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time
