High Die Cutter

We are actively recruiting for the position of High Die Cutter Operator (Polar DCM) for our plant in Brooklyn, OH.

2nd shift Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for operation – follow job specifications on bar code sheet. 
• Set up and adjust punching head per the thickness of the job being ran . 
• Start machinery and make adjustments when necessary to improve performance. 
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions. 
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance as needed. 
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor . 
• Comply with all safety and health regulations. 
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and free of any safety hazards. 
• Sort, label and package finished product based on customer specifications. 
• Load and unload chase with cutting die into the machine based on job specifications. 
• Must use micro adjustments for pile height and centering of job as needed. 
• Utilize MMS bindery tablets for scheduling of same day jobs. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 1 year’s experience using Polar or Heidelberg cutting machines and general printing process preferred.
• Ability to measure and count accurately.
• Knowledge of cutting programs on machines.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers.
• Ability to safely use hand/power tools.
• Ability to multi-task with changing priorities.
