Water Spider

 We are actively hiring for the position of Water Spider for our plant in Van Nuys, CA

 Shift:  3^rd shift – Sunday to Thursday 9:30pm-6am

 Duties & Responsibilities

Water Spider Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Remove any label/vinyl waste off production floor and check the paper recycle bins to ensure there isn’t any label/vinyl waste product.
• Move pallets of Fed-Ex ground off the production floor and into the Fed-Ex trailer.
• Organize jobs in Bindery department by sorting and staging in correct area by department and due date.
• Assist with jogging paper for Cutter Operators when needed.
• Ensure that the production floor is swept and aisle ways free of obstructions.
• Report all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good problem-solving and organizational skills
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.
• At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time
