Position Title: Legal Internship

About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern to join Digital Realty’s Legal team for the summer (~10 weeks). This role is intended for law students interested in gaining hands-on experience within an in-house legal function at a global, publicly traded real estate and infrastructure company.
The Legal team supports a broad range of matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracting, real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The intern will work closely with experienced attorneys and gain exposure to how legal teams partner with the business to support strategic and operational objectives.
What You’ll Do
This internship is intended to provide educational and professional development experience and does not involve the practice of law or the provision of legal advice.

What You’ll Do
- Conduct legal research and support issue analysis across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Assist attorneys with contract review, document analysis, and legal drafting support
- Support corporate governance and compliance activities, including preparation and organization of materials
- Assist with drafting internal legal memos, summaries, and presentations
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Tax, HR, and Operations
- Participate in team and global meetings to understand the role of Legal in a global organization
- Currently pursuing a JD degree or enrolled in an accredited law school
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to synthesize complex legal concepts and communicate them clearly
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
