Plastik AI is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to build a Generative Engineering Marketplace to revolutionize the plastic industry, bridging the gap between engineers using plastics and manufacturers creating them. At the core of our platform is Herman, an advanced AI agent designed to match product requirements with ideal plastic compounds. Herman leverages a combination of public and proprietary data to enable rapid and precise material recommendations, which can be easily ordered within a marketplace.


We are looking for a skilled Marketing Manager to play a key role in helping us market our Generative Engineering Marketplace (GEM). Our two-sided marketplace is a unique challenge, which requires building strong network effects across multiple user personas to rapidly drive adoption. The key persona who will drive our success is the engineers who decide which plastics will be designed into the products they are designing. You will be responsible for driving awareness with and engagement from these engineers so that they adopt Plastik AI’s platform for choosing their plastics.


As part of that mission, you will lead the strategy, production, distribution, and optimization of engaging content across all our channels to drive audience engagement and support lead generation efforts. Our goal is to take creative approaches and create buzz in the engineering community and viral content that will allow us to harness the community of engineers to drive engagement. We are looking for content that engineers will find so compelling and interesting that they will forward it to their colleagues. We believe our transformative approach unlocks new possibilities in plastics innovation, enabling faster, smarter, and more efficient product development and material discovery to build a more sustainable world.


As part of our cross-disciplinary team, you will work alongside MIT-trained engineers, data scientists, and business professionals to build a groundbreaking AI platform for the plastics industry. Job Responsibilities:

  • Creativity - Develop creative content that has viral potential with our engineering audience
  • Experimentation – Implement an approach to content that allows experimentation dropping content that is not working well, and driving content that shows engagement from the target engineers
  • Content Strategy & Planning – Develop and maintain an annual content calendar aligned with business objectives, product launches, and seasonal trends. Conduct audience research and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and gaps.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration – Manage, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team of content creators (writers, graphic designers, video producers). Coordinate with product, design, and sales teams to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
  • Content Production & Quality Control – Oversee end-to-end content creation: briefs, drafting, editing, and final delivery. Establish and enforce brand style guidelines, tone of voice, and SEO best practices.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization – Track key metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions) and report on content ROI. Use data insights to iterate on content formats, topics, and distribution strategies.
  • Market needs – Conducting market research, gather customer feedback, and identifying unmet needs. Engage with the engineering audience to understand their psychology and how to best leverage them to become advocates for our services
  • Distribution & Promotion – Work with social media, email, and paid channels to amplify content reach. Identify partnerships and influencer opportunities to co-create and syndicate content. Emphasis should be on content that has viral potential and creates buzz within the community
  • Process Improvements – Standardize workflows, templates, and tools to streamline content production. Stay current on content marketing trends, tools, and technologies; recommend integrations boost efficiency.
  • Product communication – Proven ability to explain technical materials to both internal and external non-technical audiences


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
  • 5 years of hands-on content marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing content strategies that drive measurable growth (user engagement, organic traffic, leads, conversion, viral uptake)
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats (blogs, whitepapers, video scripts, social posts).
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams and freelance or agency relationships.
