About the Role
We are looking for a high energy Marketing Expert who will travel to trade shows and industry events across the country every week and actively generate leads and new business. This person will be on the show floor all day, approaching exhibitors, starting conversations, and identifying decision makers and opportunities. If you love talking to people, thrive on the road, and know how to turn a quick conversation into a qualified lead, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events nationwide on a weekly basis
- Systematically walk the show floor and engage every relevant exhibitor booth to introduce our company and services
- Quickly qualify prospects by asking smart, targeted questions about their event marketing, experiential, and branding needs
- Confidently explain our value proposition, capabilities, and past case studies in a clear and compelling way
- Capture accurate lead information, including key decision makers, timelines, budgets, and next steps
- Share real time feedback from the show floor regarding market trends, competitor activity, and customer pain points
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to refine messaging, outreach, and follow up sequences based on event learnings
- Represent the brand professionally at all times and uphold our standards for communication, attitude, and appearance
- Prepare concise post show reports summarizing lead volume, quality, opportunities, and recommendations
Qualifications
- 3 plus years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, or event based roles
- Proven track record of outbound lead generation or consultative selling
- Comfortable initiating conversations with strangers all day, every day
- Excellent verbal communication skills and strong storytelling ability
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing, trade shows, and event sponsorships (experience in experiential marketing is a plus)
- Highly organized, with strong note taking and follow up discipline
- Self motivated and resourceful, able to work independently while traveling
- Proficient with CRM systems and basic productivity tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365)
Travel Requirements
- 70 to 90 percent travel across the United States
- Ability to be on the road most weeks, including weekends
- Valid driver’s license and passport preferred
