We're seeking a detail-oriented editorial assistant to support computational social science research and publication efforts. This position is specifically structured as a W2 role to provide access to health insurance through the Massachusetts Health Connector.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and format academic papers for conference submissions (CHI, FAccT, CSCW, etc.)
- Verify citations and check references for accuracy
- Format papers according to conference/journal guidelines
- Review AI-assisted drafts for clarity and academic tone
- Manage submission portals and track deadlines
- Light copyediting and proofreading
Ideal Candidate:
- Graduate degree (MA/PhD) or current graduate student preferred
- Familiar with academic writing conventions in social sciences or computer science
- Experience with citation management (Zotero, Mendeley, etc.)
- Comfortable with LaTeX and/or Word formatting
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Massachusetts resident seeking stable part-time work with health insurance access
