Senior Systems Analyst

Position Overview
Public Sector Solutions Group (PS2G) is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to support a high-impact initiative within the renewable energy sector. This role supports the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project, a pioneering effort within the energy industry.
The selected candidate will bring deep technical expertise across PowerShell scripting, Microsoft server environments, and Active Directory, along with proven experience leading large-scale system migrations and upgrades. This role requires a self-driven professional who can analyze complex systems, troubleshoot unique challenges, and deliver scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving technical landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Design
- Analyze existing systems and business processes to define requirements and design efficient, scalable solutions.
- Automation & Scripting
- Develop, test, and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate system processes, migrations, and administrative tasks.
- System Maintenance & Support
- Provide ongoing support for Microsoft Windows Server environments, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization.
- Active Directory Administration
- Manage and maintain Active Directory environments, including GPOs, replication, authentication, and access controls.
- Migration & Upgrade Leadership
- Lead or support large-scale system migrations, upgrades, and integrations across enterprise environments.
- Application & Vendor System Support
- Install, configure, and support both internally developed and vendor-provided applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures.
- Problem Resolution
- Diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues in high-impact environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience5 years of hands-on experience in systems analysis or related roles
- Extensive PowerShell scripting experience (advanced level required)
- Proven experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments
- Strong expertise in Active Directory (GPOs, trusts, replication, authentication)
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale system migrations and upgrades
- Experience supporting vendor applications
- EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
Preferred Experience
- Background supporting financial industry systems
- Experience working in energy or utilities environments
- Familiarity with networking and database performance tuning

Work Requirements
