Job Summary
Under direction, responsible for supporting the HR Director by implementing recruitment initiatives, developing policies and procedures, supporting employee development, assisting with new hire processes and Company benefits, the individual has overall responsibility for the flow of work to ensure that the Company hiring needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of current HR practices, methods and procedures to assist in running an office in a smooth and cohesive manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality while maintaining Employee records. Ability to supervise fairly and honestly and to collaborate with employees. Must have strong writing and computer skills. Must be highly motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines; must be detail oriented. Demonstrates strong customer focus skills, effective documentation, teamwork, and communication skills, public speaking and excellent writing skills are preferred. Ability to operate office equipment, e.g., computer/laptop, copiers, printers/scanners, etc. Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills.

Requirements
Education, Skills, and Abilities
High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred. Five years of Human Resource experience preferred. Possesses intermediate data entry and computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat; and must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all customers. Knowledge of equipment industry experience preferred. Possesses a valid Class C driver’s license. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform in the position may be considered.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities
· Conducts all business in a professional, respectful manner and in accordance with Digging & Rigging Inc.’s policies and procedures and outlined in the Compact of Respect.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
· Assists in planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
· Collaborates on the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Acts as point of contact for customers, vendors, and visitors.
· Prepares reports, analyzes data and creates presentations.
· Nurtures a positive working environment by maintaining and building employer-employee relationships
· Performs related assignments as required.
Special Requirements
· Position operates computer terminal for prolonged periods.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and able to function at a high level as part of a team.
·Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
