Play Attendant - Floor & Front Desk

Play Attendants are the friendly faces of Diggers Cove. You greet families at the door, check them in, supervise the play area to keep kids safe, run the snack counter, and keep the space clean and welcoming. It's an active, people-first job that's perfect for someone who loves kids and a fast-moving environment. We're building a small, consistent core team, so most attendant roles come with steady, near-full-time hours. We're also hiring one flexible on-call attendant for backup shifts.

Diggers Cove is a brand-new indoor sand play destination opening in Plano, Texas, where kids can dig, build, and explore in a clean, safe, and imagination-first environment. We blend classic sand play with interactive, augmented-reality experiences to create a place families love to return to for open play, birthday parties, and field trips. As we prepare to open our doors, we are building a warm, energetic team that loves making kids smile and helping families create lasting memories. Type: At-will (W-2). Core roles: regular part-time to near-full-time. Plus one flexible on-call role.

Openings: 3 core attendants (~30–37 hrs/week) 1 on-call/backup (hours as needed)

Hours: Shifts across weekdays (after-school & evenings) and weekends; at least one weekend day required

Pay: $11.00 to 12.00/hour

Reports to: Store Lead / Owners

What You'll Do

• Welcome families, check guests in, and walk them through waivers and rules.
• Run the front desk and POS (Square) for admissions and snack/drink sales.
• Actively supervise the play area - watch for safety, enforce rules, and keep play fun and fair.
• Staff the snack and drink counter (packaged items only - no cooking).
• Keep everything clean: wipe down equipment, tidy the play area, restock, and handle light cleaning during the closing hour.
• Help set up and reset birthday parties and group bookings.
• Pitch in wherever the team needs you.

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, dependable, and genuinely good with children and parents.
• 16 or older (16–17 welcome, subject to Texas teen-work-hour rules).
• Comfortable with a tablet/POS and basic cash handling.
• Able to stay attentive and energetic through a shift.
• Available for at least one weekend day.
• Interest in becoming a keyholder (open/close shifts) a plus — these come with added responsibility and a path to more hours.

Physical Requirements

Able to stand and move for full shifts, bend, kneel, climb into play structures, and lift up to 25 lbs.
