Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing parts inventory, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring the seamless flow of automotive and industrial parts within our operations. This role requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and customer service to support our manufacturing, automotive, and warehouse functions. The Parts Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining efficient operations by leveraging expertise in procurement, supplier management, and logistics systems.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels using Tekmretic systems and order management software.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality parts, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee procurement processes including purchasing, demand planning, and sourcing for automotive parts.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to verify part specifications and compatibility.
- Assist with warehouse management tasks such as shipping & receiving, inventory control, and equipment repair.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary to move parts within the warehouse or storage areas.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, inventory transactions, and supplier communications using Tekmetric
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting internal teams or external clients with parts inquiries and order management.
- Support logistics planning to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all warehouse and equipment operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement management, or inventory control within automotive or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, Tekmetric or similar platforms used for order processing and inventory management.
- Experience working with OEM parts, dealership supplies, or auto body repair components is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, equipment repair, HVAC systems, or industrial machinery is advantageous.
- Prior warehouse experience including shipping & receiving operations is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive service or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
