What Does an Automotive BDC Representative Do?

- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls
- Communicate with customers through phone, text, email, and online channels
- Schedule sales and/or service appointments
- Follow up consistently with prospective and existing customers
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer records
- Update customer information, notes, appointments, and follow-up activity in the dealership CRM
- Confirm scheduled appointments
- Re-engage customers who have not yet purchased or scheduled
- Work closely with sales, service, and management teams
- Track daily activities, appointments, contacts, and follow-up opportunities
- Follow established BDC processes and communication schedules
- Provide professional and friendly customer service
- Help convert online inquiries and phone calls into dealership visits
- Meet individual and department goals for calls, contacts, appointments, and customer engagement
