Express Lube Technician Responsibilities
As an Express Lube Technician at McElwain Chevrolet, you'll perform essential vehicle maintenance services while helping our service department deliver a fast, professional, and customer-focused experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform oil and filter changes
- Complete tire rotations and tire pressure checks
- Check and top off vehicle fluids
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections
- Inspect tires, brakes, belts, hoses, filters, and other basic vehicle components
- Replace engine and cabin air filters
- Replace windshield wipers and other maintenance items
- Assist with basic automotive maintenance and light repairs
- Identify potential maintenance and repair needs during inspections
- Communicate vehicle concerns to Service Advisors
- Accurately document completed services and inspection results
- Safely operate vehicle lifts, automotive tools, and service equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow Chevrolet, GM, and dealership service procedures
- Help maintain an efficient flow of vehicles through the service department
