We are searching for a vibrant individual who is a skilled writer/editor and is passionate about Language Arts. Our staff is comprised of talented, compassionate educators who nurture the children while maintaining the highest standards for both themselves and their students. This position requires strong teaching skills and creative problem solving to support a range of students. We are searching for an engaging individual whose multiple talents and strong work ethic will be assets to our dedicated team approach. Teachers must maintain high levels of professionalism, have strong editing skills, and present with confidence.
Our unique program nurtures highly motivated students in an accelerated, rigorous curriculum that necessitates powerful educators who adapt quickly and maintain a positive outlook. Our low student-teacher ratio encourages differentiation and flexible thinking; thus, applicants must have superior communication and interpersonal skills. As well, our teachers must be proficient writers to correspond with parents via email and generate insightful student reports. Applicants must have teaching experience, preferably in an independent school setting.

Our staff is departmentalized so that each teacher is an expert in his/her field. Beginning in 1st grade, our Language Arts program focuses on a rigorous curriculum of literature analysis, written expression, English mechanics, and grammar. Diegueno students are known for their sophisticated writing skills, and we have been successfully preparing our students for acceptance to the top private schools in San Diego since 1973.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
