Director, DSD & Independent Operator (IO) Sales Operations

We’re looking for a Director, DSD & Independent Operator Sales Operations to lead and strengthen our Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and Independent Operator (IO) network, helping expand distribution, improve route productivity, and drive profitable growth.
This role provides strategic leadership across our route-to-market execution while partnering closely with our National Brands, Convenience, and Private Label sales teams to ensure strong market presence and aligned growth strategies.

What You’ll Do
Drive Growth
- Develop and execute the strategy for the DSD and IO network to support revenue growth, distribution expansion, and improved route productivity.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen retail presence and grow market share.
Lead the Network
- Provide leadership and direction to the DSD and Independent Operator network to ensure consistent execution of sales strategies and promotions.
- Establish performance expectations that drive safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment and development of Independent Operators and route sales teams.
Execute & Collaborate
- Ensure effective execution of pricing, promotions, and merchandising initiatives across markets.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Supply Chain to align demand planning and execution.
- Monitor sales performance and route productivity to drive improvements.
Build Relationships
- Strengthen partnerships with key regional retailers and distribution partners.
- Support new business development and market expansion opportunities.
Champion the Brand
- Lead in alignment with company values and culture.
- Ensure the DSD network represents the Dieffenbach’s brand with excellence in the marketplace.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 7 years of progressive sales leadership experience in food and consumer packaged goods
- Experience leading DSD networks, route sales operations, or independent distributor systems
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth through strategic planning and team leadership
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
