Step Into a Day on Our Packaging Floor

When you arrive at Didion Milling, you’ll power up PLC-controlled packaging lines, walk the floor to verify materials, and ready hand tools for the day’s production runs. You’ll stage pallets with a forklift, run quality checks against FDA and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards, and document every lot so our food ingredients move safely and efficiently to customers around the world.

What You’ll Do

• Operate packaging machinery and equipment, including PLC interfaces, to keep production moving smoothly.
• Prepare and assemble packaging materials using hand tools and practical mechanical know-how.
• Continuously monitor packaging processes to uphold quality benchmarks, following FDA regulations and CGMP requirements.
• Inspect finished packages for defects or inconsistencies and correct issues promptly.
• Record activities in logs and reports with accuracy and completeness.
• Use a forklift and warehouse skills to move materials and manage inventory safely within the facility.
• Assist with assembly tasks related to packaging components when needed.

What You Bring

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid basic driving skills; forklift experience is a plus.
• General computer proficiency.
• Prior manufacturing experience—especially in a food-safe setting—is a plus.
• Ability to work independently using critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to complete tasks safely without supervision.
• Ownership mindset for your area and equipment, with initiative and a strong team-player approach.
• Drive to create and execute continuous improvement projects.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively within and beyond the packaging department.
