- Receives all shipments as they come in from the carrier services.
- Matches each order to the corresponding PO entry in Microix.
- Compares items on the PO with items physically received to ensure accuracy and assess for damage.
- Notifies appropriate departments/staff to pick up received items or arrange for delivery.
- Monitors/follows up on items that are not picked up to ensure they are allocated out of the inventory area to the appropriate department.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
- Weights outgoing mail and determines the correct postage.
- Orders office supplies and some medical supplies as requested.
- Assists the IT department with hardware asset management – check in/out.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a cross-culture environment, understands the social and cultural context of the patients at the didgwalic Wellness Center. Understands the role of trauma, historical, community, family, and personal experience in wellness and recovery.
- Understands and adheres to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years’ experience in inventory control preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate the storage room and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
