Bakery and Kitchen Assistant

Dickey Farms is looking for a part-time associate to work in our kitchen. We are a fifth-generation family owned and operated farm in the heartland of Georgia. Dickey Farms has been growing peaches for over 120 years as well as strawberries, pecans and fresh produce.

We’re currently looking for a bright, friendly bakery assistant to work in our kitchen. Some duties include preparing and serving some of our staple farm desserts and homemade ice cream for consumption. This includes food prep, baking, packaging and cleaning for closing.

Responsibilities:

Some other responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Baking – Bake our staple farm desserts such as strawberry shortcake, peach cobbler, hand pies and make our Famous Homemade Ice Cream.

Prep Work – Prepare and measure ingredients, label and store properly, prepare for high volume sales and order appropriately

Inventory Management - Receives, signs for, and stocks product orders from suppliers. Maintains and notifies manager of quantity of inventory.

Food Safety Regulation/Enforcement – Ensures food safety standards for cleanliness in kitchen and ensures all employees are following regulations

Miscellaneous Duties - Cleans, disinfects, and stores baking equipment such as dishes and utensils properly according to health requirements. Prepares proper boxes and packaging for product consumption and sales. Maintains safety of establishment through awareness of hazardous situations such as wet floors, oven temperatures and basic security routines.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read and take direction in English
• Must Possess valid Georgia Driver License and clean driving record
