About the Role
As the Plumbing Department Manager, you’ll lead both field operations and department growth. You’ll help create SOPs, manage technicians, oversee service quality, monitor KPIs, and build a profitable plumbing operation that scales the right way.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and launch the plumbing department structure, workflows, and service processes
- Establish accountability standards and performance expectations across the department
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop plumbing technicians
- Create and manage flat-rate pricing and department profitability
- Oversee plumbing service operations, permitting, inspections, and code compliance
- Conduct ride-alongs, technician coaching, and performance management
- Monitor KPIs, revenue goals, margins, and operational performance
- Handle escalated customer issues and maintain high service standards
- Partner with ownership on department growth strategy and staffing plans
What We’re Looking For
- Master Plumber License required, or Journeyman with Master eligibility within 12 months
- 7 years of plumbing field experience with leadership or management background
- Experience building or growing a plumbing/service department strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, water heaters, gas lines, sewer/drain, and water treatment
- Experience with ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Successware, or similar service software preferred
- Strong leadership, accountability, and communication skills
