Plumbing Department Manager — Build & Lead a New Division

About the Role

As the Plumbing Department Manager, you’ll lead both field operations and department growth. You’ll help create SOPs, manage technicians, oversee service quality, monitor KPIs, and build a profitable plumbing operation that scales the right way.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and launch the plumbing department structure, workflows, and service processes
• Establish accountability standards and performance expectations across the department
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop plumbing technicians
• Create and manage flat-rate pricing and department profitability
• Oversee plumbing service operations, permitting, inspections, and code compliance
• Conduct ride-alongs, technician coaching, and performance management
• Monitor KPIs, revenue goals, margins, and operational performance
• Handle escalated customer issues and maintain high service standards
• Partner with ownership on department growth strategy and staffing plans

What We’re Looking For

• Master Plumber License required, or Journeyman with Master eligibility within 12 months
• 7 years of plumbing field experience with leadership or management background
• Experience building or growing a plumbing/service department strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, water heaters, gas lines, sewer/drain, and water treatment
• Experience with ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Successware, or similar service software preferred
• Strong leadership, accountability, and communication skills
