Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires proficiency in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation such as forklifts and reach trucks. The Shipping Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency. Prior warehouse experience, familiarity with e-commerce platforms, and basic math skills are highly valued to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading shipments using pallet jacks, forklifts, or reach trucks.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to process orders, track inventory, and update stock levels accurately.
- Perform order picking, packing, and order fulfillment tasks to prepare products for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to ensure accurate order processing and inventory control.
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves efficiently and organizing products for easy retrieval during order picking.
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as load planning, palletizing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Support shipping & receiving functions by preparing shipping documents, labeling packages correctly, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping deadlines while adhering to quality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (Navision) or similar inventory software such as MRPs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of e-commerce order processing, packaging techniques, and order picker roles will be beneficial.
- Basic math skills are necessary for inventory counting and verifying shipment quantities.
- Previous experience working with pick-and-pack operations or in a warehouse distribution setting will support success in this role. Pay: From $18.50 per hour
