About the role: The Industrial Controls Technician assists with design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems, including involvement with implementation of capital projects of all sizes.

What you’ll do:
- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair PLCs, HMIs, and control systems on a variety of equipment.
- Design machine interfaces and data historian displays for use by multiple departments.
- Design and build industrial control panels for control upgrades, or for new equipment and processes
- Edit and change PLC programs, machine parameters, etc. as needed for machine optimization and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to all Diamond Vogel safety and compliance programs, including LOTO procedures.
- Recommend controls upgrades and changes to increase machine efficiency.
- Assist with the design and implementation of capital projects
What skills and experience you’ll need:
- Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience with industrial controls systems
- Working knowledge of industrial control software, such as ControlLogix, Studio 5000, etc
- Organized, analytical and attention to detail, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn new systems and develop new skillsets
