Diamond R Equipment in Freeburg is hiring a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This position offers local routes, consistent hours, and home time most nights, with part-time opportunities available.
Position Overview
The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely transporting tractors, equipment, and materials using a 1-ton truck with standard transmission, hauling loads up to 80,000 lbs. This is a local driving position with no tarping required and minimal overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 1-ton trucks and semi-trucks (standard/manual transmission)
- Haul equipment and materials locally and regionally
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Secure loads properly and follow DOT regulations
- Maintain a clean driving record and professional appearance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and dealership staff
Schedule & Home Time
- Home 90% of the time
- Home every night in most cases
- Overtime available and paid
Compensation & Benefits
Part-Time:
- $18–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Qualifications
- Clean driving record required
- Ideally 5 years of driving experience
- Ability to drive standard/manual transmission
- Experience hauling heavy loads (up to 80K lbs)
- Must pass a DOT medical physical (paid for by company)
- Full CDL preferred, but not required for all duties
- Dependable, safety-focused, and professional
