JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Leasing Specialist I is to support the Leasing Team in moving all prospective residents through the leasing process, from initial contact until their move-in date. You will work under the Leasing Director in this full-time role located at our support center in Brookfield, WI.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Lead Management

Be the first point of contact for all future residents that are reaching out to learn more about the rental process.

Respond to all potential leads in a timely and professional manner to efficiently lease apartments.

Manage guest cards in AppFolio CRM by responding to prospective tenant inquiries, providing property information through custom and templated responses, and coordinating property showings.

Manage leasing voicemail inbox and respond accordingly.

Become proficient in AppFolio and our website by navigating both platforms to locate property information and provide accurate, reliable details to prospective tenants.

Assist with managing workflows for in-person property tours and completing timely follow-up with prospective tenants.

OTHER

Cross train, over time, to be able to support Leasing Specialist II and the Leasing Director as needed.

Follow all required company, local, state and federal laws and guidelines in regards to leasing, and ensure that our policies comply with all housing laws and regulations.

Understanding of the look, location, feel and culture of the complexes.

Continuously search for operational improvements and best practices that are in the best interest of DPM.

Attend and pass required training, and participate in advanced educational courses and seminars, at the direction of your supervisor.

Provide support and coverage to both the Support Center and the Leasing Department as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be very comfortable working with technology. Google Docs, AppFolio (Or other related property management software) are a plus.

Education/Experience:

Previous experience in a customer service related position. (Required)

Specialized Training:

Sales (Preferred)
