Nail Technician Assistant/Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated Nail Technician Assistant to join our salon and participate in a structured training program designed to bridge the gap between nail school and confidently working with clients.

This position is ideal for someone currently in nail school, newly licensed, or early in their career who wants real salon experience and the opportunity to build strong foundational skills before being expected to manage a full clientele independently.

How the Program Works

This position begins with learning how a professional salon operates.

You will start by developing confidence with the client experience and daily salon flow, including:

• Answering phones and assisting with appointment scheduling
• Greeting and checking in clients
• Learning our services, policies, and booking system
• Preparing and resetting stations
• Maintaining sanitation standards
• Supporting technicians and salon flow
• Observing consultations and professional client communication

We believe these skills matter. Becoming a strong nail technician is not only about application technique—it is also about learning how to communicate with clients, manage time, maintain professional standards, and understand how a successful salon functions.

Progressing Into Hands-On Services

As you demonstrate readiness and reach defined benchmarks, your training will become progressively more hands-on.

Training will build skills such as:

• Proper nail preparation
• Natural nail health
• Shaping and finishing
• Product application
• Sanitation and safety
• Client consultations
• Service timing and efficiency
• Rebooking and client retention
• Professional communication
• Building and maintaining a clientele

You will receive direct instruction, practice assignments, regular feedback, and measurable skill benchmarks throughout the program.

From Training to Your Own Clients

The program is designed to move you forward as your skills develop—not keep you in an assistant role indefinitely.

For many trainees, around the three-month mark is when they begin transitioning into building their own clientele, starting with services they have demonstrated they can perform confidently and consistently.

The exact timeline depends on your individual progress, reliability, technical ability, and readiness. Some technicians may progress more quickly, while others may benefit from additional practice before advancing.

The goal is not speed for the sake of speed. The goal is to make sure that when you begin taking your own clients, you feel prepared to provide a service you can be proud of.
