The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and upkeep of company facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant environment for staff and clients. This role performs a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, minor repairs, facility inspections, and regularly drive between company locations and vendors while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general structural components
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment and facilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address safety hazards, code issues, and repair needs
- Maintain and repair fixtures such as doors, locks, lighting, appliances, and furniture
- Assist with painting, patching, flooring repairs, and general cosmetic upkeep
- Support grounds maintenance, including trash removal, basic landscaping, and exterior upkeep
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety standards, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects as needed
- Assist with emergency repairs and participate in on-call rotation if required
- Regularly travel between company locations to perform maintenance and respond to operational needs
- Transport tools, equipment, and supplies as needed to complete assigned tasks
- Pick up materials, parts, and equipment from vendors or suppliers
- Assist with transporting clients as needed
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
- Comply with all company driving policies, including vehicle safety and reporting requirements
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Ensure facilities remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. health and safety standards, fire codes)
- Identify and report environmental or safety risks immediately
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2–3 years of general maintenance or facilities experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, residential treatment, or hospitality environments preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Ability to safely use ladders and perform work at moderate heights
- Must pass background check, drug screen, TB screening, and physical exam
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to be insured under the Company’s auto insurance policy
